ECU problem

I have w 211 car in my workshop after diagnosis i found that engine control unit is defected it always say that coolant temperature sensor has an open circuit. Wiring is ok and sensor is ok and the problem is in ECU. I want ask you what steps required to repair this ecu to work properly. and if it is hard how can i adjust another ecu to work on this vehicle

Before change the ECU compare coolant TEMP with Airtemp (maybe Airtemp sensor the problem )
