Hello,
I have installed this IDS v.103 and starting OK. But, when I connect VCM2 clone it gives me the message about "software mismatch". When I try to upgrade... nothing happens. VCM unit is regognized by PC and it is listed in (Windows) Device Menager, but I am not sure if all drivers are properly installed as I did not do any extra installations, other then IDS and calibration files. Please, give us some suggestions. THANKS

Put the VCM2 in Recovery Mode and uograde it then
You have a newer firmware in your VCM2 then the one used it in this version
Good luck

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't have much experience with IDS and VCM. How do I put it into "Recovery Mode". Thanks.

Etsy bitsy.
Remove the rubber from the USB side
There is a button ( switch ) near the SD Card
How To Factory Reset Your VCM II
This is rom VCM2 officialy manual
A factory reset may fix your VCM II if it becomes i
noperable (e.g., VCM II will not boot-up properly,
VCM II
LED's not functioning properly, etc.).
Instructions:
1.   Shut down the IDS application if it is running.
2.   Disconnect the VCM II DLC cable from the vehicle.
3.   Disconnect the VCM II USB cable from the VCM II and PC.
4.   Remove the rubber boot on the VCM II that is opposite the DLC connector to expose the
Recovery Mode Switch (the plastic tab).
5.   Start the IDS application.
6.   Press and hold the plastic tab.
Do not release the tab until Step 9
7.   Connect the VCM II to the PC using the USB cable.
8.   Wait for the VCM II's Power LED to remain on and for the unit to beep.
9.   Release the plastic tab - the VCM II will be in Recovery Mode.
10. The IDS pop-up window will appear notifying the user that a new version of
VCM II software is available. Select the Tick button to update the VCM II software.
11. Follow the IDS on-screen instructions to complete the software installation.
Good luck

Hi again,

I tried to do exactly as suggested above, but no lack Sad. Only got more strange messages, as below. Like " Not updates available", or nothing happens when Upgrade Software is selected. VCM Manager shows "VCM not connected". In PC Device Manager the interface is shown. Any more hints.... please ? This VCM business is realy pissing me off.... 533
