RE: benz mileage read for c class? - Ecmbuster - 10-09-2024 Refer to this post and pay attention to J2534. Mercedes scan tools are the best option and always will be. You're Welcome! RE: benz mileage read for c class? - bladest - 10-09-2024 As always you dont give me reply,. just say ista is the best , instead of that you can tell me show me where to look into that specific car and engine in order to find it........ Read the rules!! 02. Please respect each other. Flaming/Spamming/Rudeness will NOT be tolerated. This will result in your immediate BAN! may be my ista is defective or not complete for older cars i am missing programming data, or may be, i just dont know in which menu things are. RE: benz mileage read for c class? - Ecmbuster - 11-09-2024 So now you have the need to question an Administrator or Moderator? You need to take a good look in the mirror. You have been given all the best answers, all the best data, all the images and videos that can be found to help you solve problems. Your problem is that you can not understand and have a fixation with mileage. You have been given more help than any member and have accomplished very little. You have a problem with the "chinese" clones. You have a problem with a J2534 device and explained many times "Not all J2534 devices will offer the same data as the original equipment used at the dealer". The protocols are NOT THE SAME between manufacturers equipment and J2534 devices. That is a known fact! ONE MORE TIME: NOT all manufacturers place or record "Mileage or Accumulated Mileage" within multiple controllers. "Mileage or Accumulated Mileage" may be found within the Instrument Cluster / Engine Controller / Transmission Controller / ABS Controller / Airbag Controller / Security or Body Controller. NOT all manufacturers record mileage except for at least one: The instrument panel. Why? Because it is a legal requirement with the manufacturer, vehicle owner and the government or state! The others I mentioned are examples of the possibility where mileage can be stored and to repeat again: Instrument Cluster / Engine Controller / Transmission Controller / ABS Controller / Airbag Controller / Security or Body Controller. Much of the time any recordings are hidden from view because of the "obvious" tampering factor. It is up to you to look because ...... Not all manufactures offer the same data within multiple controllers and especially between models and models years. You have to look. Do you have any idea how many models BMW and Mercedes builds? Do you have any idea how many different controllers are on the market? Let me name just a few for your reading pleasure: Bosch, ATE, Continental, Siemens, Denso, Temic and Lear to name a few. All of the above manufacture / design / assemble control modules for vehicles all over the world. Those controllers share a platform and not easily integrated between manufactures. Not all offer the same data. It is the vehicle manufacturer that request the data to be integrated within the controllers. Therefore, you need to look because there are too many to remember. At the moment we discuss BMW and Mercedes. What about Chevrolet, Subaru, Suzuki, Peugeot, Lada, Mini, Skoda, VW, Daewoo, Audi, Land Rover, Jaguar, Ford, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Lexus, Renult, Maserati, Saab, Honda, Mazda, Kia, Hyundai, Alfa Romeo, Porsche, Citroen, Vauxhall, Opel, Lancia, Fiat and GAZ. Do you think everything can be remembered within all controllers? You came here looking for help, remember? Oddly, it's still not enough! Your remark is insulting. RE: benz mileage read for c class? - bladest - 11-09-2024 Hi i just need simple guidance, where to look, since i dont do bmw and benz cars everyday i am not that familiar with them same story with JAGuar, and menus are hidden, on older benz its easier on newer i cant find it.... same story with psa group. very rarely i work on them, i cant find menu where this data is stored on benz and bmw, specially bmw are hiding everything even with ista + i am little retard, so i need all the help i can get. can you tell me how i can grown my business too ? i have bosch i have open port and i have other device non chinese. bosch is made in germany open port in usa etcs.. i am not aware that j devices have different specs... and cant provide same data what they can miss/ "Mileage or Accumulated Mileage" may be found within the Instrument Cluster / Engine Controller / Transmission Controller / ABS Controller / Airbag Controller / Security or Body Controller. - yes data is hidden i cant find it i mean mileage data, which i need, and yes a lot of controllers are on the market, for some cars i can see for most i cant... i got a question for u if i buy autel scan tool will i be able to see all mileage data, is autel better than ista bmw and their icom ? i should stuck with vxdiag , bosch mts 6531 and ista ? other car brands i dont care, for toyota lexus i know how and where to look there is a special menu, subaru too, 2 subaru cars per year i do. most of these brands dont come to me so my main concern is bmw and mercedes, for vw group its very easy to find mileage. live data on all ecu. RE: benz mileage read for c class? - Ecmbuster - 12-09-2024 Just for you and will settle this question once and for all. NOT EVERY MODEL IS THE SAME WITH MILEAGE DATA! This model is at the facility for a replacement wheel bearing and took the time to look and show you what was found. Read this document and read every document you have been given. This vehicle I touched, worked on, gathered all the screen images and made this document as absolute truth. It is up to you to look for mileage and this discussion has ended! You're Welcome!
