XENTRY 12.2022 PROBLEM - luckyluke - 05-02-2023
Hi.
I have Xentry 12.2022 installed (Open Shell). Connected to MB W204 (c class).
Xentry stareted some sort of update (might be multiplexer firmware-not sure) and then short scan begun. All good,scan finished,showed me fault codes and then I disconnected it from a car (after cleaning fault codes).
Friend took it for a 1 hour drive and then I connected SDC4 back to car and Xentry would not connected anymore.
Communication error (1.?.?) - in yellow colour.
It would not see the multiplexer in toolkit apart from only number 01 - which is the number of mu device. Can't do update ... C4 power up properly.
Any sugestions please ???

Suggestion for your C4 : Create a new layout Address
I will Start with LAN setup:
1. Open properties to ethernet/LAN card IPv4
2. Enter IP 172.29.127.119 subnetmask: 255.255.255.0 if no communication when doing diagnostic with xentry/DAS try
172.29.127.121 subnetmask: 255.255.255.0
One of those IP's would get you connected to c4! No more needed!
Wi-Fi Setup: Manuel mode (optional)
1. Open properties to Wi-Fi adapter and change IPv4 to
192.168.2.119 or
192.168.2.121
Again, One of these IP's will work when you start diagnostic with Xentry/DAS
Must DO:
Create Adhoc Connection Road24h!
On win 10 Use old Wi-Fi driver to activate adhoc connection. Best Drivers are from 2015! (Change driver in device manager, pick old driver manual stock from win. You do not need to download any driver!)
1. Open Network and Sharing center and click "Set up a new connection or network"
2. Select "Manually connect to a wireless network"
3. Enter Information for the network you want to add:
- Network name: Road24h
- Security type: WEP
- Security Key: 26xa "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
- Untick/Unselect "Start this connection automatically"
If this step does not pass and Admin Caesar does not see your MUX C4 then the problem is either in the cable or in MUX. if you see it and keep looking for an update then you have to make an update with a newer version - attention to update first read the manual and what steps you can do regards ibi1961

Hi.
As told by IBI1961 I would like to share with You how my Mux C4 was not working properly and how I fixed that.
Problem was the LAN socket.You have to take mux apart and check your socket...its a few minutes work.Solder it back and its working again no problem.
Thanks to IBI I have now back again 12.2022 xentry with Windows 10 Pro :) Thanks...
