DTS Monaco Request Seed VariantCoding Error - caudex - 30-11-2022
Hi.
I have successfully connected to my ECU MED41 using a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 with DTS Monaco 8.14.016.
Workspace Details:
Project: Powertrain_V_8_12_16 which contains MED41.
Template: MBCar_MBVan_SMR_DiagnosticCAN_V_02_05
VCIs: Openport (J2534)
Steps:
1. Open Workspace
2. Execute Button
3. Diagnostic Services tab
4. Locate MED41 ECU
5. Under MED41 go to Security Access
6. Transmit '[27 0B] Request Seed VariantCoding'
However when I try to get higher security access "Request Seed VariantCoding", it gives errors:
- System : bounderies of intervals overlap at CompuMethod Scale Linear
- No matching entry found in Compumethod for value 241, Parameter NRC (0xD396)
- Negative Response Codes: invalid type field - No matching entry found in Compumethod for value 241, parameter NRC
I have attached a screenshot of the screen and errors.
I have a GLC300 2022 and have confirmed using Xentry that ECU is MED41.
Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong or not doing?

For this car you cant access, you need certificates!
All new cars need developer certificates to make coding's. And if the car is connected to any dealer equipment than it will be flagged, and owner will no longer have valid guarantee!
But it can be done by some other bypass! Wich no one will share!

I haven't made any modifications yet. Only read ECU values and requested 'Request Seed VariantCoding'.
Is my guarantee still OK?

Yes. You are good. You can read out faults but do not makr any changes in any ecu, like coding!!!

I have encountered the same exact problems, gone through the same thing as you on a 2020 W213.
Has there any headway been made in the developer certificates area?
I would really like to code my car but I am encountering these errors. I do not have a warranty anymore so I don't care for modifying it.
